W. Crone (303 FTZ, 629-7439, cronewil@hvcc.edu, http://www.hvcc.edu/academ/faculty/crone/index.html)
#3: WEEK 14: THURSDAY, APRIL 27, 7:30- 9:55 AM. Bring sharpened #2 pencils.
#4: WEEK 16: THURSDAY, MAY 11, 7:30- 9:55 AM. Bring sharpened #2 pencils.
NOTEà DON'T FORGET PHYSIOLOGIC CORRELATION/EVIDENCE-BASED MEDICINE PAPER, DUE FRIDAY 5/5 (WEEK 15)
Due to a conflict with CCE (clinical competency exam) during exam week, and as discussed in class, the last final test will be moved to the last day of classes.
The third lecture exam will cover the lecture/text material for weeks 10 through 13 (GI, endocrine, bone, not reproductive, i.e., from FSH, LH, PRL onward), and the fourth exam will be reproductive and neurophysiology. It will be based on lectures discussed/touched on in lecture, although your understanding should be enhanced by your readings in the texts. Note that I will be starting early to give you extensively more than two hours.
Format for both:
30 multiple choice questions |
worth two points each |
60 points possible |
6 short essay questions |
worth fifteen points each |
90 points possible |
total possible for test |
150 points possible |
For the tests, recognize that many essay questions are"straight out of the book," so be aware of materials from Michael and Rovick, van Wysberghe and Cooley, Cormack, and even Young and Young, where that is applicable to material directly covered in lecture. I still plan to"touch on" the bullets listed in the course outline for neurophysiology, although in somewhat truncated fashion! I re-list them below:
Weeks 13 to 16: Nervous System
|main page| |background| |03028: Physiology| |03048: Anatomy|
|03050: Invertebrate Zoology| |03051: Vertebrate Zoology| |03074: Economic Botany|
