     Instructional materials

Instructional materials from the WFP Program encourage exploring with Fast Plants. The Program aims to:

  • Generate ownership and "what if" questions from students
  • Provide inquiry-based approaches that will aid student understanding of concepts and principles in biology (based on the National Science Standards)
  • Connect the natural sciences to other subjects such as mathematics, social studies, art, and language.


Wisconsin Fast Plants Information Documents (WFPIDS)

Over the last 13 years the WFP Program has develop a series of over 50 activities that aim to provide hands-on inquiry based learning activities in the classroom and lab. The series known as WFPID's, cover a wide range of topics such as:
