- Exam #3: The mean on exam #3 was 72 -- this grade was scaled to a 78. After adding points for groups whose exam improved compared to the group's highest scorer, the adjusted mean for exam 3 was 81. The average group boost for exam 3 was 3.5 points; where group performance exceeded 5 points above the highest individual score, 5 points was the maximum bonus allowed.
- Course grades: Since all exams had already been individually scaled if necessary, no further scaling was applied to course grades. All grades are reported rounded off to nearest integer, but calculations were based on the exact values as calculated in my spreadsheet.
- Lab grades: Lab grades are recorded as provided by TAs.
