Snapdragon genetic map

To put matters shortly, there is no modern genetic map of snapdragon. H. Stubbe published 1966 a map of eight linkage groups which might correspond to the eight chromosomes of the haploid genome. The linkage groups were given names, corresponding to the major gene. These names are Uni, Eos, Aur, Rad (now Cyc), Gram, Def, Luv, Inc.

Genetic map redrawn according to H. Stubbe 1966 (23347 Bytes):
The linkage of Cen and Glo on the Gram-chromosome and the linkage of Trans with Def on the Def-chromosome could not be veryfied by modern linkage experiments (personal communication from Zs. Schwarz-Sommer).
